Wednesday, October 14: Sport Turns Pink.

More and more women are taking part in sports, including some of the most challenging, high-risk, and adrenaline-fueled disciplines. Their presence is also increasingly visible along the trails of the 44 Churches Trail in the Natisone Valleys.

To honor the women who hike its trails, the association Pro Loco Nediške Doline – Valli del Natisone APS is hosting three events from the Venice festival “Endorfine rosa shocking,” dedicated to women and sports and curated by Laura Aimone.

On Wednesday, October 14, the festival will screen “Afghan Cycles,” directed by Sarah Menzies (United States, France, Afghanistan, 2018). The film tells the story of a group of Afghan women fighting for their right to ride bicycles while confronting discrimination, cultural barriers, and death threats.

The film will be shown in the original language with Italian subtitles.
