This Sunday marks the final autumn hike organized by the Val Resia Ecomuseum.
This moderately strenuous outing begins in the small village of Oseacco/Osojane. We'll follow a loop trail that climbs from the village through beautiful beech forests before reaching a stunning open plateau, home to the peaceful traditional mountain huts known as stavoli in the Provalo area.
Beyond its natural beauty, the route is especially rewarding for its ecological interest and spectacular views of Mount Canin/Kanin.
After a well-deserved break, we'll continue toward the Provalo Meadows (Ta-na Parwalë), completing the loop along a different trail back to our starting point.
The path:
- Distance: 5.5 km
- Elevation gain: 540 m
- Duration: 5 hours (hiking times may vary)
- Technical difficulty: Easy
- Physical effort: Moderate
- Group size: Minimum 5 – maximum 15 participants
- Advance registration is required.
In case of bad weather, the hike will be postponed to a later date.
Mandatory equipment:
- Clothing appropriate for the season
- Hiking boots
- Packed lunch
- Plenty of drinking water
- Hiking poles are recommended.
