On Friday, March 21, 2026, on the occasion of World Poetry Day, a meeting with the Gaelic poet Christopher Whyte will take place at the SMO museum in San Pietro al Natisone/Špeter.

Moderator: Michele Obit.

Christopher Whyte was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1952. He is the author of nine poetry collections in Scottish Gaelic and has also published four novels in English. He translates poetry into English from Russian, Italian, Catalan, and Hungarian. His poems have appeared in Italian with the Gaelic text on the facing page in Non dimenticare gli angeli (2023).
