Location: Clodig/Hlodič 28, 33040 Grimacco/Grmek (UD) | Trattoria Alla Cascata
Discover the trails around the village of Topolò/Topolove, perched on the sunny slopes of Mount San Martino/sv. Martin and immersed in the quiet of the Koderjana stream valley. The star of the day will be water, carving spectacular gorges through marl and sandstone, creating stunning scenery. Along the hike, we’ll admire the first spring blooms and unique panoramic views.
Program:
- 08:30 AM – Meet and registration at Trattoria Alla Cascata in Clodig/Hlodič.
- 08:45 AM – 12:30 PM – Guided hike along the trails around Topolò/Topolove, with sections of moderate difficulty and some steep stretches; elevation gain 260 m (850 ft), distance 7 km (4.3 miles). Guide: Marco Pascolino, Nature Guide FVG AIGAE.
- 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM – Lunch at Trattoria Alla Cascata with local specialties (menu choice to be communicated at booking):
- Slice of toasted bread with herb cottage cheese
- First course of your choice: župa požgana (soup) with a triplet of matricaria, or homemade pasta with wild garlic pesto and Parmesan flakes.
- Main course of your choice: frico or pork roast with herb sauce and side dish
- Dessert tasting, 0.25 l of wine and 0.5 l of water

- Difficulty: moderate - requires basic mountain walking fitness
- Equipment: hiking boots, poles, layered clothing, and change of shoes for lunch
- Duration: about 4 hours
