On Friday, November 7 at 6.00 pm at the Beneška galerija in the Museum SMO (in San Pietro al Natisone/Špeter) the inauguration of the exhibition ‘Utrinki | Scorci’ (glimpses) by the artist Dea Volarič will be held. The exhibition will remain open for viewing until Monday, Decemebr 8, 2025.
Dea Volarič
Her lifelong interests have always been devoted to verbal and artistic creation. She has held numerous solo exhibitions and taken part in many group shows in Slovenia, Italy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. For her work she has received praise and awards, and for her decades-long artistic activity, the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of Slovenia awarded her the Anton Ažbe Medal of Honor.
“I love the sea, the wind, and the sun, meadows full of dandelions, the chirping of grasshoppers, the songs of birds, dawns and sunsets, thunderclouds, snowstorms, potica, hot tea, the scent of freshly baked bread, and words gathered in thick books. I love spring water, streams and clear rivers, spring rain, music, singing, conversation, and laughter. I love the mountains, the trees, the stars — and I love some people very much. I love being. I live and create in Most na Soči.”
